Ever wonder what's going on with your hormones?
In fact, for years I lived at the mercy of my hormones- moody, fatigued, and depressed.
As I started to learn how to heal my body of IBS, chronic migraines, and chronic fatigue (you can read about that here) I also started to understand that food also plays a huge role in hormonal balance.
The more I read, researched, and learned; the more I understood that there was more to my hormones than just my period every month!
In fact, a woman's body goes through a process of four distinct phases every single month- each phase with it's own purpose and influence on energy, mood, and reproductive abilities.
Understanding this process is crucial in living in harmony with our hormones and bodies.
I am a firm believer that women have been under-served in the area of education surrounding our bodies, and it's time that we take it upon ourselves to discover our most integral pieces of existence so that we can live in balance and happiness.
This week on The Mindful Minute we are talking about the how and why of each phase in the menstrual cycle. This video is the first in a two-part series.
